Who doesnt LOVE Costco??? Its the king of bang for your buck. I discovered a cute little bottle of Champagne while cruising the aisles & had to pick it up.
Vielle France Brut Champagne
40% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier
$25 Costco Ivy City
Leon Lebrum started the Champagne Vielle France House is 1860. He wanted to create quality Champagne from the Village of Avize, which later became a Grand Cru. The Rapaneau Family took over in 2003 but kept the family traditions, including the 18th century "apple" shaped bottle. The nose on this wine is full of pear, toasted bread and hints of chalk. The palate is a luscious mouthful of unripe apple and lemon.
I paired with wine with lobster & sautéed kale & it was amazing.
Cheers to Costco Champagne!
