Portada Rosé

Sarita Cheaves
Portada Rosé

The energy around me can dictate how & what wine I drink. Its February 24th and the temperature is 76°. Everyone was pretty disappointed that all the snow storms swept right by us but an early Spring is easing that blow. The sun is shining with very little humidity. We are doused with Spring fever so I had to break out a beautiful rosé.

2015 Portada Rosé

Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Tinta Roriz

Liboa, Portland

(Found at Old Line Fine Wine, below $15 I think)

This wine is perfect for a Friday like this. The nose is full of peach, watermelon, and strawberry.  The palate is light with beautiful acidity. Apple with hints of berry. Very fruity so it pairs nicely with heavily spiced cuisine like Mexican, Indian and Thai. This wine paired very well with my hot turkey half smoke topped with kale & brussel sprouts.

Cheers to an early Spring!
